Background
Hi my name is Henrik Moeller-Madsen. I was born in 1982 in a city in Denmark called Odense, where I have lived all my life. At the age of 6 I started in primary school (Kragsbjergskolen) and graduated from secondary school (same place) at the age of 16, where I started in upper secondary school HTX. I finished HTX in 2001 and started at the University of Southern Denmark to study Computer Science. Currently I am working on my master thesis, which I am expecting to finish some time in March or April 2007.
Family
I am blessed with a loving family, which have always taken care of me, and always been there for me when I needed them. My family consist of my father Niels Moeller-Madsen who was born in Naarup in 1953, and works at Albani brewery, my mother Jane Moeller-Madsen who was born in 1958 in Glamsbjerg and works as a social and health worker and my brother Michael Moeller-Madsen who was born in 1978 and works at KIMS.
Computer interest
I have always been interested in computers and how they function, ever since I got my first computer concole, which was a SEGA. How computers worked and how computer games were designed was what lead me to become a software developer. Now my primary interest is in developing complex software systems, based on state of the art technology. I am interested in working for an innovative software company, which have high standards and visions for the future.
Spare time
When I have some spare time, I enjoy keeping myself in good shape, which is why I play basketball, squash and Rugby union football. When I was younger I was trained by Team Denmark in Squash, but today I only play sports for fun and for the exercise. I learned a lot from my Team Denmark training, such as setting and visioning goals, and to function under stress, which I have used in my education and at every job I have ever had.
To relaxe I often play chess online when I feel stressed out, which helps me preserve focus in the periods when I have a lot on my mind. I also enjoy to play board games with my family and friends. I love watching movies and listening to music.
Personality
I am outgoing and sociable, likes to speak with people, which is also why I have a lot of different friends, who all have different backgrounds, jobs and interests. I like a good laugh, and consider myself of having a good sence of humour.
